Here's a little information for your first visit to Wesley United Methodist Church

Our Location

Our Sunday morning schedule is as follows:

Sunday School is at 9:30-10:30 a.m.   Classes are available for all age levels.  From 10:30-11:00 a.m. we invite you to fellowship with us and enjoy a cup of coffee.  Our morning worship service begins at 11:00 a.m.  Please see the Information Table and Bulletin Boards in the Life Center to learn more about church activities and programs.

Immediately after the Children’s Change Mission Offering, elementary children K-4th grade may attend Children’s Worship in Rm #1 of the Life Center Building.  Nursery/Infant and Toddler Ministry is available during the 9:30 a.m. Connection Hour and 11:00 a.m. Worship and is supported by attentive staff and volunteers. Please note that the Children's Change offering is collected to benefit the Cornerstone Foundation which operates the Hospital Loma De Luz in Hoduras.

Those of us who have committed our lives to Christ give out of love to support His work at Wesley UMC.   As our guest, we hope you receive something from being here today.  On Communion Sundays, offerings left on the altar go to Wesley UMC Outreach Fund to help those who are in need of assistance.

About Children’s Change Mission Offering:  After we have worshiped through our tithes and offerings we have an opportunity to support missions with the Children’s Change Mission Offering.  All children are invited and encouraged to come down and get a bucket at the altar to receive the offering.

The Two Sacraments of the United Methodist Church

At Wesley UMC all who feel led to take the sacrament of communion are invited and encouraged to participate.  In the United Methodist Church we believe that Jesus Christ is present in communion. We believe that God’s grace flows through this sacrament.  We celebrate communion through a service of intinction in which you are given a piece of bread that is then dipped into the cup before eating.  The altar is open to those who wish to pray afterwards.

In the United Methodist Church we believe in infant baptism as well as adult baptism.  We believe that God’s grace flows through this sacrament and God’s grace goes before us preparing the way for us.  At Wesley UMC the sacrament of baptism is observed by immersion or pouring.   If you desire more information or would like to be baptized and/or join Wesley UMC as your church home, please speak with our pastor or call the church office, 228-875-8900
